Events for June 2009

Afterschool Movie
Tuesday, June 2
4-6pm
Free movie on the big screen in our auditorium, free popcorn. We're showing the recent comedy about the bumbling mall security guard. We're not allowed to publish the name, but you know which one I'm talking about.

Game On!
Monday, June 8
3:45-5pm
Free video games on our big screen. We usually play some mix of Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero (#3, World Tour or Metallica versions), Wii Sports, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, and lately we've been trying out Marvel Ultimate Alliance, where you and 3 friends (we just got in enough controllers for 4-player) pick your favorite Marvel superheroes and beat up on bad guys.

Super Smash Bros Brawl Tournament
Monday, June 22
3pm-?
This will be both a tournament where you can dominate the masses with your Super Smash Bros skills, or be destroyed by other game masters. Either way, there's prizes and pizza. Sign up in advance for the tournament at our reference desk, or call us up and register (760-753-7376). This party also marks the start of our Summer Reading Club (SRC), where you get prizes for reading books. The SRC will also feature many programs and events relating to the themes of art and music, including crafts and free art classes. Like this next one...

T-Shirt Screenprinting Workshop
Monday, June 29
3pm
Design and print your own t-shirts! Free! Make it and wear it home that day! Black t-shirts will be provided, or bring your own from home (but white t-shirts won't work, don't bring those).
