Rock Band Tournament: Winners!

We held our first ever Rock Band video game tournament on December 7, and it was a great success. 9 different "bands" battled for dominance, and filled us all with the true meaning of rock/Christmas. If you missed it, don't worry, we'll have another video game tournament in a few months (Rock Band? Mario Kart? We just don't know).

Every band got to choose and perform their own song, and the top three bands went on to the finals to play a song chosen by the judges ("Any Way You Want It" by Journey)

Third Place: Anna's Car, performing "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morrisette

Second Place: The Tates performing "That's What You Get" by Paramore

First Place: Slow performing "The Trees" by Rush

Third Place won t-shirts from Lou's Records, Second Place won eight passes to the Museum of Making Music, and First Place won $100 in GameStop gift cards!

We also held a costume contest, encouraging our performers to dress in either a Xmas or Crazy Rock style.

Best Dressed Team: Survivor 2.0

Best Indvidual Costume: Vanessa of The Acid Rain Experiment

(in the middle, invoking the Beastie Boys)

All costume contest winners received gift cards to Lou's Records.

And we'll close out with some more pics.
